I believe we have proved the Pennsylvania Millards did, in fact, originate in Bedfordshire, England and are not directly related to the Massachusetts Millards (descended from John Millard and Elizabeth Baugh). John Millard was born in Luton, Bedfordshire in the last part of the 1500s and married Elizabeth Mickley in 1611 (in Luton). This also likely increases the likelihood of a Huguenot connection, as many Huguenots from Flanders came to Bedfordshire in the early to my 1500s.
This fan chart shows 13 generations of the "Pennsylvania Millards", each generation is a different colour. Contact me at kwmillard66@gmail.com if you would like a .pdf version of this file (which can be blown up in size to read all the names).
Just an added note, John Millard (father of the Pennsylvania Millards) currently has 651 direct descendants and over 5,000 blood relatives in the Geni Tree.
