We are still trying to unravel the family history, and may never determine the actual genealogy of James, son of David Millard; James may have been born in India in the early 1800s, his father was a cadet in the East India Company Army in 1798, and James joined the Horse Artillery in Buckingham, England in 1825.
One of James' sons was Edwin Havelock Millard, who married Ann Bridget Hannah in India in the 1876 - 1880 timeframe. The undated photos are Edwin Havelock Millard and Ann Bridget Hannah Millard.
The family, excepting son Havelock, was living in Hornsey, Middlesex, England in 1901 and their two sons, Eustace Edwin Millard and Clive Newcomb Millard were educated in England, and at times perhaps lived there with a guardian. Descendants are in New Zealand, Australia, America, and England.
