Many individual Family Trees are constructed by copying, to a large degree, information that already exists in another Family Tree containing the same people. This can lead to confusing and sometimes amusing misinformation.
A friend mentioned her mother had looked for Kleinsteuber family members in New Zealand but without success .... so I did a search and this is what I found;
NAME: Harry Blake Kleinsteuber
BIRTH: 15 May 1906 - New Zealand
DEATH: 5 Aug 1952 - Hallowell, Kennebec, Maine, USA
MARRIAGE: 10 Nov 1926 - Prince Edward Island, Canada
PARENTS: Albert Ernest Kleinsteuber, Nellie Meeks
Now, get this, Harry was my cousin and was born and grew up a couple of miles from where I did in southern Ontario. Whoever owned this family tree, they checked on the name Picton (the local town where Harry was born) and came up with Picton, NZ so stuck it in. His death was in Hallowell Township which they looked up and found a name in Maine so stuck that in. And Picton and Hallowell are in Prince Edward County so they hit on Prince Edward Island and stuck that in as well!
It must take a lot of work to be that naive...... but there it is, in a genealogy Family Tree!
