In the multi-colored mosaic that exists in any family's ancestry, part of the family tradition includes religious beliefs. Our Kleinsteuber ancestors in Germany were almost all Lutheran, in fact Martin Luther completed his translation of the Bible into German at Wartburg Castle near Gotha.
It is likely few people know the church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) began its first major missionary push in England in 1837 and by 1850 had 33,000 adherents. Among those was Charles Millard, born in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire in 1815 and who moved to Utah with his family to further practice his faith.
Today we also have descendants of our Wisconsin Kleinsteubers who are dedicated members of the Latter Day Saints, and our cousin Susan who lives in Utah is a lovely lady with a wonderful family.
