Request for DNA Matching:

9/28/2012

The following request is from Lindsay Slack  at Lindsay Slack lkayslack@yahoo.com

My grandfather is a Millard and I believe he is of the English Millards listed below.  I've got his Y-DNA results to the 67 marker level and I'd like to see if the "Millard" community has any volunteers of the line below would be willing to take the 67 marker level test for me?  I would pay for the test and results would be shared (of course) with the volunteer.

I'm trying to confirm my grandfather's paternal line to the Millards that settled America in the 1600s from England.  Specifically, I'm looking for a male Millard of the Thomas Millard line below (b 1678 Mass and d. 1728 CT), whose descendents would include:

THOMAS MILLARD, b 1678 Reading Mass and d 1728 CT (married Rebecca Dutton)

JOHN MILLARD, b 1713 Wakefield Mass and d 1803 Berkshire Mass (married Mehitable Willey)

JOSHUA MILLARD, b 1744 Middlesex CT and d 1830 Berkshire Mass (married Lydia Young)

WALTER MILLARD, b 1781 Litchfield CT and d 1837 Berkshire Mass (married Ruth Spink)

RILEY MILLARD, b 1806 Berkshire Mass and d 1868 Lake Mills, WI (married Eliza)

AMBROSE MILLARD, b 1830 NY and d 1855 Lake Mills, WI

GEORGE W MILLARD, b 1835 NY and d unknown (married Matilda)

WALTER DELOS MILLARD, b 1838 NY and d 1889 Lake Mills, WI (married Jennie Foote)

I used FamilyTreeDNA and have found several blood relatives through their system, there is a Millard sub-group in FamilyTreeDAN as well.

They are having a sale until end of year, link to

My dad might be willing to do it but he goes as far as Joshua, and then veers off to Walter's brother Judson.
