By 1880 there was a thriving German Settlement community in Elzevir Township (near Actinolite, Ontario). We don't know if Henry Kleinsteuber was the first German immigrant here when he arrived in 1852, but we know that it was 1867 before the last of his Kleinsteuber siblings and his mother arrived.
